After a long 16 month break, Fargo has finally returned to FX. I first loved Fargo when I saw the 1996 Coen brothers film. Noah Hawley has done a fantastic job of featuring new stories and characters every season, yet maintaining the same feel as the original film. He has also included slight connections between the film and the different seasons, eventhough they all take place at different times. The show is still approachable on a season by season basis, so no need to go back and binge, just jump right in.
The 3rd season of 10 episodes just debuted this week, it is set in 2010 and features Ewan McGregor playing the Stussy brothers. Carrie Coon is impressive as the sheriff (she is also currently busy being awesome on The Leftovers). Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane) and Michael Stuhlbarg (Boardwalk Empire)round out a fantastic cast.
Only one episode has aired so far so there is definitely time to not get left behind on this fantastic series.
